Restylane

Restylane, and its family of fillers, consists of products that use Hyaluronic Acid (HA) as its primary ingredient. This is an excellent option for any dermal filler as it is native to our own skin tissue and simply replaces the HA that we have lost as we age.

It consists of a clear gel formulation of HA specifically designed to help visibly correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds from even the most difficult parts of the face such as the marionette and nasolabial lines (or lines and folds around the mouth).

Restylane is approved by the U.S Food and Drugs Agreement (FDA) for all types of facial correction.   Plus, it consists of several different types of products to use for various purposes.

How does Restylane work?

The dosage used for each Restylane treatment largely depends on the area that is being treated as well as the severity of the wrinkles and/or folds. All Restylane products come in a syringe, and the number of syringes you need will be determined at your consultation with one of your world-class injectors, Trisha or Susie.

Once Restylane is injected into an area, the result is a temporary support to the skin’s structure and helps to stimulate the production of extra collagen, thereby improving the appearance of folds and wrinkles.

Restylane is an outpatient procedure that can be completed within 15 - 40 minutes at our office. No hospitalization or recovery time is required, so a patient is able to return to normal activities within a couple of hours after the treatment.

The great thing about HA fillers like Restylane is you can see the results immediately, and they tend to get better as the body uses the HA to attract more water and improve the wrinkle.

Restylane Before and After

Different types of Restylane

Restylane has different types of products under the same family and are specifically designed to address a specific purpose. Our medical injectors will work with you to decide which one is the right fit for you, depending on your circumstances. These different types are:

Restylane Lyft

Restylane Lyft is the first and only FDA approved hyaluronic filler that is used to treat both hands and face with its thick like gel formulation. After treatment, it creates a natural-looking appearance.

This brand of Restylane helps to correct age-related loss of volume and contour in the cheeks, mid to lower face and hands. It is also used to fill out facial folds between the nose and mouth.

Restylane Refyne

This type of dermal filler provides the benefit of making the patient look younger while maintaining those natural-looking facial expressions.

It is injected deep into the nasolabial folds around the mouth and does not make the face feel stiff, thereby allowing the patient to still be able to laugh and smile effortlessly.

Restylane Silk

Restylane Silk is the thinnest gel of HA compared to the remaining Restylane products. It comes in an ultrafine needle that is softer and has a more precise result which is the key to avoiding unnatural looking lips.

This brand of dermal filler helps to restore the plump pout of your youth. It is specifically designed to help augment the lips and smoothen out the wrinkles around the mouth.

Restylane Defyne

Restylane Defyne is primarily suitable for patients that need a stronger dermal filler due to having deeper creases and folds.

It contains a hyaluronic acid compound that helps to fill out deep laugh lines and achieve a natural-looking smile.
